Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Jordan and Doris Edna Waters Alewine. She retired from Gerber Childrenswear and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Charles Robert “Chuck” Childs of Pelzer; four grandchildren, Megan Brooke Alewine, reared in the home, Robbie Alewine, McKenzie Harris, and Chase Childs; three grandchildren, Zander Parrish, Bama Johnson, and Saban Harris.
She was predeceased by daughter, Connie Lynn Childs Alewine; and sisters, Barbara Sue Gurley and Virginia McClain.
Burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
