ROGERS, DeAnna Gayle - Mt. Morris - On April 10, 2015, DeAnna G. Rogers went home to the Lord. She had a comfortable, peaceful passing with great dignity. She was born March 2, 1943 in Cadillac, Michigan daughter of Gail and Edna (Dykehouse) Nystrom.
DeAnna was a dedicated registered nurse for 30 years at Saint Joseph Hospital in Flint, Michigan then retired in 1995. DeAnna was the founder of Truths in the Adoption-Triad and lobbed for Adoption Reform Bills and saw many become laws. Interests include Red Hats Society, Mary Kay, Florida trips to Panama City Beach, Michigan Cruisers Car Club and enjoyed being outdoors in her pool and watering her roses.
Married to Wilton (Skip) Rogers, Jr. September 5, 1964 in Cadillac, Michigan and they just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. DeAnna was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris, Michigan.
Survivors: Husband, Wilton (Skip) Rogers Jr.; Daughters, Tina MacDonald and husband Steven (Andy) of Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada; Tonya DiPietro and husband David of Medina, Ohio; Katie Wilson of Rock Island, Illinois; All of her amazing grandchildren that she loved, adored and was so proud of all of them; Brothers, Richard Nystrom and wife, Pam of Portland, Oregon; Douglas Nystrom and wife, Jane of Chicago, Illinois; Brother-in-law, Lynn Abrahamson of Manton, Michigan. Proceeded in death by: Father, Gail Nystrom, Mother, Edna Nystrom, Sister-In-Law, Valerie Abrahamson.
Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00pm Tuesday, April 14 and Funeral Services will be 12:00PM Wednesday, April 15 at pm at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433. The family wil receive friends 11:00AM Wednesday until time of service.
