Larry grew up with a family , with a lot of love. He had a sister Peggy. His dad name was Charles Henry McCormick, His mom name was Addie Ellen Scopes McCormick. As a family they played golf. His mom was a music teacher, dad in his own business . Insurance and real estate. His mom played the organ at the Church, and he was raised in a Christian home.

I meet Larry at a Sunday School picnic, on Lake Ontario, Rochester, New York. I was playing volleyball, and he wanted to get my attention, so came up to me and asked, if I would help him go get more ice cream, as they were running low. My nature was to help. That was the only way he was going to be able to spend time me . Then that fall of 1964 he went off to College.

Upon returning, his mom said you should go and look up that sweet girl. So he did on December 1965. We dated and was married 10-21-1967.

He still enjoyed golf, but loved riding his snowmobile. Both of us were hard workers, and raising two daughters. He was very shy , so one day I said you should join the North Greece Fire Dept., as a volunteer. He did , boots at the side of the bed, scanner going . Then he also joined the Greece Ambulance. He really enjoyed it. Later with having heart problems, he dispatched for the Fire Department. His paying job was at Eastman Kodak .

His other joy in life was going on a mission trip, working in Sunday School, awana, helping with the kids. He read his Bible daily, and each night we would read it together in bed. His favorite verse was II Timothy 2:15.

He also enjoyed story telling, and civil war history. When he was 5 years old on a family trip he cry, wouldn’t leave the gift shop until he got this civil war token. Finally his mom got it, and still have it this day.

Later in years he enjoyed going to hockey games, we had front row seats, and we would be invited to their homes, and their parents home, in Canada, and other states. Some good memories. But most important was it gave him, enjoyment. And a blessing to help some of the players.

His other joy was having a Godly mother. These our things he wanted in the newspaper.

His blessing was to see his four grandchildren.

We moved to Virginia, and then went to Ocala, Florida for his health, and to get him active and be in warmer weather.

In the hospital , he told me he was dying , his wish was for me to keep the urn until I went home to be with the Lord. And he wanted his memorial service to be with my, together.

This was the end of his earthly life and on May 29, 2016 he went home to be with the Lord Just after he passed , I had a warm around my shoulder, and hearing everything is going to be okay. That day I cried , and sang to the Lord! The next day I was going to Walmart to get some cash, food etc. when going to the checkout, and my card was declined. I told the gal, that I had money in the account. She said to call the bank. I did and their respond was I was dead. Social security, also put me in the system, and was dead for six months. I had to wait for his death certificate. The tape player wasn’t working and when he was in the hospital, I told him. Had two men try to fixed it, but couldn’t . They said you need to take it to Ford Dealers. The next day after his passing, I got in the truck, thought I tried it one more time, and it was working . I think he took care of it for me. Now 4 years later it’s still working.

I am looking forward to being with him again, after being married for 48 years. What a day that will be . Tears in my eyes to see him again. And to be with the Lord. Oh how I miss him.
