Craig was born in Independence on May 8, 1952, the son of Charles Raymond Hoover and Evelyn Julia (Frank) Hoover. In Dec 1972 he married Mary Deborah Esch. They later divorced.
At the age of 22, Craignrgsn to work at John Deere Tractor Works where he spent almost 30 years, retiring at age 52. He also attended DeVry Institune in Chicago graduating in 1987.
Craig is survived by his mother Evelyn of Cedar Rapids, his brother, Jim (Shareefah) Hoover of Vancouver, Wash an his sister Tammy (Alan) Pink of Cedar Rapids, his son Barry Charles (Katie) Hoover of Independence and his grandchildren, Dalton Charles and Blayke Ryann Hoover.
Services held May 23 a Reiff Family Center in Independence. Interment in Circle Grove Cemetery, Walker, IA.
