Kathy L. Vaughn Stevens, 63 years and 4 days of age, of Burnside, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at her home.
Kathy was born in London, Kentucky on Thursday, May 23rd, 1957, daughter of Mary Sophia Jackson and the late Ray Vaughn. She loved to spend time in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, ride motorcycles, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family.
Kathy was survived by her mother, Mary Sophia Jackson; her loving husband of 39 years, Thomas "Buddy" Stevens; two sons, Thomas Stevens 5th (and Jamie) and Shone Stevens (and Ciarra); six daughters, Gayelene Asher (and Bryan), Melisha Phillips (and Rocky Smith), Heather New, Bobbie Sue O'Connor (and Cody), Brittany Burke, Oralia Stevens; two brothers, Jerry Vaughn and Phillip Vaughn (and Judy); five sisters, Sandra Thomas (and John), Marsha Carlton (and Jimmy), Abigail Marlar (and Randal), Mary Stevens (and Rod), and Melinda Carson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Ray Vaughn; one son, Thomas Stevens 4th; one daughter, Christal Montaigne; one sister, Sharon Vaughn; and two grandchildren, Ashley Stevens and Kassie Burke.
Visitations were held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1st, 2020 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating.
Burial followed in the Burnside Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
