Frank B. Ruota, 95, was a son to the late Sebastiano and Rosalia Vella Ruota. Frank attended and graduated from Utica Schools, then continued on to Union College. He graduated from Union College in 1933 with a degree in electrical engineering. After graduating college, Frank and his father founded S. Ruota & Son Mushroom Growers in Niskayuna. This was a business that Frank managed and operated for over 75 years. Mr. Ruota was a founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Schenectady, a member of the Schenectady Elks Club, and the Union College Alumni Association. An avid fisherman and bowler, Frank was part of "The Old Market Bowling League".

He was the husband of Adeline Cusano Ruota, whom he married in May of 1934. She died April 8, 1995. Survivors include three children... and the late Bernard F. Ruota, who died in 1998. He was the brother of Lee Cardillo of Clarksville, TN, Florence Pedone of Niskayuna and Lola Frederick of Niskayuna. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two greatgranddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
