He was born February 28, 1946 in Massillon, Ohio a son of the late Michael & Mary Jane Gotch Krause. He earned his Bachelors Degree from The Ohio State University. Dave had several careers during his lifetime; a metallurgist at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., a teacher in the Indian Creek School District and finally as a licensed agent for CUNA and New York Life. He was Lutheran by faith and a member of Toronto Seniors & the Funseekers (serving as assistant tour guide).
Dave enjoyed working in his workshop, fishing, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Most importantly, he cherished the time with his grandsons.
Dave is survived by his wife, Karen A. Kasper Krause; son David E. (Joni) Krause; daughter Kimberly A. (Erin) Kossack; grandsons Levi David Kossack & Kristian Thomas Kossack; siblings Don Krause, Patricia Hanson, Linda Forte & Jon Krause.
