Mrs. Van A. Helms entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 24, 1968.

Mrs. Flora Teeter Helms, 73, of 301 McCrary St., Sans Souci, widow of Van A. Helms, died at a local hospital Sunday at 3:20 p.m. after several years of declining health and four weeks of serious illness.

A native of Mecklenburg County, N.C., she was born July 24, 1894. She was a daughter of the late D.W. and Annie Miller Tuter. She had lived in Greenville 38 years, having lived in the Sans Souci community since 1948. Her husband died Jan. 20, 1967.

Mrs. Helms was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Mitchell of Greenville and Mrs. Ruby H. Mills of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Boyd A. Helms of Concord, N.C. and M.L. (Buck) Helms of Greenville; a sister Mrs. Mattie T. Jacobs of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Rev. L.C. Rich. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The body is at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

The family is at the home of her son, M.L. Helms, 15 Arlene Drive.
