Roy Robert Ellis, Jr., age 75, of Wytheville, VA passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020. He was born August 31, 1944 in Arkansas, the son of the late Roy Robert Ellis, Sr. and Rosie Mae Webb Stewart. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Johnson Ellis; children, Linda M. Irby, Anthony D. Ellis, Lanita A. Gillespie, Patricia A. Ellis and Rose Y. Ellis-Powell; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Luerene Burris, Rose Blevins; two brothers, Steve Ellis and Jesse Stewart.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Harry Grubb officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
