Russell was born March 24, 1961, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Donald and Nelta Ray. He was retired, a member of Grace Crossing U.M.C. and the Christian Motorcycle Association. Russell loved motorcycles, to go riding, camping, and watching sports, especially his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of three years, Wanda J. Ray of Longview, Texas; two sons Christopher Ray of Longview, Texas, Joshua Ray of Longview, Texas; two step daughters, Tara Atkinson of Plano, Texas, Sara Goulart of Daingerfield, Texas; two sisters, Laura Sorrell of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Buckner of Houston, Texas; two step grandchildren, John Michael Goulart-Jameson, Austin Latimer; and a number of other relatives.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
A memorial service will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Grace Crossing U.M.C., Longview, Texas.
