KINGSPORT - Dennis Jake Berry, 74, of Kingsport was called to his heavenly home Saturday May 16, 2020 at The Wexford House.
Our hearts are breaking. Dennis was a kind, humble and honest man who loved to joke, laugh, hunt, fish and watch westerns. He kneeled every night to pray.
Mr. Berry retired from Douglas Dynamics where he was an excellent certified welder.
Dennis will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Berry, and his mother, Georgia Hood Berry.
Mr. Berry leaves behind his wife of 48 years Anna Gail Berry of the home; three brothers, Wallace Berry of Church Hill, Lennis Berry of Blountville and Bob Berry of Alabama; two sisters, Mollie Geri Stumbo of Hiltons, VA and Judy Berry Pendleton of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Staff of Holston Valley Medical Center, Indian Path Hospital, The Wexford House, Hospice and to family members and friends.
There will be a visitation prior to the service at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, May 31, 2020 in the chapel.
Burial will follow in Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA.
