Mrs. Hensley passed away May 25, 2020 in Athens. She was born August 16, 1951 in Dallas to James B. and Ladoris Wilson Gore.
Shirley grew up and lived in the Ben Wheeler area most of her life. She loved arts and crafts. Shirley was a loving and giving person and was easy to talk to. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ben Wheeler.
Mrs. Hensley is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ladoris Gore; her husband, Billy Hensley, Sr.; and son, Michael Preston.
Shirley is survived by her four sons: Keith Preston of Fort Worth, Bryan Preston and wife, Shanda, of Longview, Billy Hensley, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Canton, Chad Hensley and wife, Aleisha, of Malakoff; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Doris "Mimmis" and William Sewell of Poynor, Barbara and Sammy Huddle of Ben Wheeler, DaRynda and Stanley Crocker of Ben Wheeler and a brother, James "Bubba" and Bamma Gore, of Ben Wheeler.
