Whitsett NC – Theodore “Ted” Lee Crum, 76, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born January 24,1944 in Wells County Indiana to the late Wendell Burdette and Magdalene Wilson Crum and was married to Mary Jane Crum.

He taught high school and coached the Girls’ Golf Team at North Side High School in Fort Wayne Indiana. He moved to North Carolina in 1986 to open the Grease Monkey franchise along with a dear family friend. He then became a commercial real estate broker retiring from Massey Real Estate this year. He enjoyed spending his time playing golf, riding his motorcycle, singing karaoke and most importantly spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane Coon Crum, his younger brother Timothy Kay Crum and wife, Marilyn, and Sharon Weeks Crum, wife of his late brother Benjamin Burdette Crum. He is also survived by 2 children; Jonathon David Crum and Jennifer Bendel and her husband Russell and 4 grandchildren; Magdalene Jane Odell, Abigail Elizabeth Bendel, Thomas “Gage” Crum and Holden Wilder Crum. Ted was a proud Uncle to 6 nieces and nephews as well as 10 Great nieces and nephews.
