Myra Jean ‘Molly’ Archibald, 103, Peabody, Massachusetts/Glenelg, Guysborough County, died July 24, 2015, in Peabody.
Born September 14, 1911 in Glenelg, she was a daughter of the late Elwyn and Catherine Archibald. She grew up in Glenelg and taught school in Guysborough County prior to training as a nurse at Salem Hospital, Salem, Mass., She served in the United States Nursing Corps during the Second World War. After the war, she did her Masters in Nursing at the University of Connecticut, then nursed at the Veterans’ Hospital in Boston. She returned to Nova Scotia each summer to visit with extended Archibald family.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Lester (Helen), Percy (Doris).
