Robert Fuson, age 46, of San Angelo passed away Monday, April 10, 2006, in Louisiana. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jason Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Eldorado Cemetery. He was a lifetime resident of San Angelo. He was born on Oct. 24, 1959, to Joe Everitt and Rosie Lee Rose Fuson. He graduated from San Angelo Lake View High School in 1978. He and a few classmates built three houses here in San Angelo before graduation. After high school, he continued his education in iron works. In 1982, he graduated with a 99.9 grade average, one of the best two scores in his class. The Iron Works Association of America took them to the World Fair in Tennessee. There, he was handed his journeyman?s certificate. On Aug. 8, 1980, he married Darlene Hirst and had three children. Robert was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He never knew a stranger, and he helped everyone he could. His family didn?t end at home. He also had a family on the jobs he went to with the Fluor Daniels Company. He liked going fishing with anyone who wanted to go with him. He loved watching his nephews race their cars on the track. He always got a rush from that. He always put God and family first, and he believed in hard work and being a mentor for whoever would learn. He did have a best friend through high school and all the way through life. Daniel Hirst was his best friend and loved him very much. One thing you could count on was that Robert couldn?t wait to come home to his family and do the things he loved, but just as much, he missed his family from work and couldn?t wait to go back. Robert will be missed by everyone he has left behind, but more importantly, we can?t wait to see him again. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; three children, Jessica Banks and husband Rodrick, and James Fuson, all of San Angelo, and Richard Fuson and wife Tammy of Sonora; two grandchildren Seth Fuson and Kyra Fuson, both of Sonora; his mother, Rosie Fuson of San Angelo; two brothers, Charles Fuson of San Angelo and Joe Fuson of Plano; four sisters, Donna May Fuson of San Angelo, Joann Midleton and husband Alvin of Tampa, and Jennie Watson and Mickey, and Lois Gonzales and Jerry, all of San Angelo; lots of nieces, nephews, all of his in-laws and friends that love him very much. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Everitt Fuson. You know I?m here when you feel the sun on your face, know that it is me looking down on you, blessing you with my grace. When it rains, it is me crying tears for you, for you have shed enough for me. So, cry no more, for I am still with you. Feel the wind brush across your cheek, it is me kissing you. And always know I?ll be there watching over you, for all of you, I have left behind. I can?t wait to meet you in the end, but not right now. You have a long ways to go until I see you again. I love you all forever, even in the end. By Amber Banks
