RAMSEY, Deborah It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Deborah Reneé Gaines Ramsey but rejoice that she is in the house of the Lord. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Paul Ramsey. She was also a devoted daughter of Walter and Sandra Gaines of Buffalo, S.C. She is also survived by a sister, Sherry and husband Alex Navarro of New Jersey, and brother Bryan and wife Kristin Gaines of Simpsonville, S.C. and a nephew to be born in Nov.2005, William “Riley” Gaines. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and caring family members and friends.
She was the granddaughter of the late Harold and Margaret Gamble of Charleston, S.C., and the late Stella and Albert Gaines of Valdese, N.C.

She was born February 21, 1972, in Summerville, S.C., and died April 26, 2005, at her home in Hanahan, S.C.
She was a 1990 graduate of Union High School, Union, S.C. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelors of Science degree and received her Masters Degree in education from Charleston Southern University. She had also earned her National Board Teaching Certification and was Teacher of the Year, 2004, Meriv Elementary.
Debbie will always be remembered for her soft heart, kind smile, bouncy spirit and her beautiful red hair. She was always willing to give all of her support to her husband, family, friends or anyone who might need it. She taught in the Berkely County School System for eight years, and one year at Union Day School. The Love for the children she taught was felt by everyone who knew her, and each and every child was special to her.

A Celebration Memorial Service of Debbie's life will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., at Seacoast Community Church, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. A small reception to be with the family will be held after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a donation memorial may be made to the Hospice of Charleston.
