Glasgow resident, Katie Sanders, 90, passed away suddenly at her home on May 10, 2020. Kathryn Irene Sanders was born in Glasgow, Mo. on October 28, 1929, a daughter to the late Gorden and Isabelle (McMillan) Epperson. Katie graduated from Glasgow High School, the class of 1947. She worked as a nurse’s aide in the healthcare industry. Katie worked at Colonial Manor (currently Glasgow Gardens) for 20 years. Katie enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green. Survivors include two children, Monty Sanders of Glasgow, Mo. and Jody (Harold) Sanders of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Amy and Suzanne Sanders; three great-grandchildren, Salim, Kelly and Kyler; sister, Patsy Epperson of Gainesville, FL; and a brother, Arnold Epperson of Butte, Mt. In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by one son, Kelly Sanders and a brother, Lindy Epperson. A graveside service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Salem Lutheran Church in Forest Green, Mo., with Pastor Noah Burgdorf officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, Mo. 65254.
