Jeremy Parks, 41, passed away at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on May 18, 2020. Jeremy Kent Parks was born December 3, 1978 in Marshall, Mo., a son to Alvin Parks and recently deceased, Lyntrell (Malone) Garcia. Jeremy attended Glasgow High School. He recently worked as a farmhand for Colvin Farms. Jeremy loved fishing and making people laugh. He had a knack for telling bad jokes, always getting a rise out of his listeners. Survivors include five children, Shane Ware, Daniel Parks, Serena Parks, Cameron Parks, and Katelyn Parks; two siblings, Hiedi Parks of Franklin, Mo. and Danny Parks of Columbia, Mo.; and father, Alvin Parks. Jeremy is also survived by five nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Shirley Jones and great-grandmother, Ethel Jones. A joint memorial service celebrating the lives of Jeremy, and his mother Lyntrell, will be held a later date, at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will take place at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to the funeral home to ease the burden of funeral expenses. Final arrangements are under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, Mo. 65254.
