Mary Prickett's husband was Thomas Chenoweth (1720-1787). They were married 11 NOV 1742. They had 12 known children named Martha Chenoweth (1744-?), Sarah Chenoweth (1747-1814), Mary Chenoweth (1749-?), John Chenoweth (1751-1820), Thomas Chenoweth (1753-1814), Arthur Chenoweth (1755-1821), Richard Chenoweth (1758-1847), William B Chenoweth (1760-c1830), Elijah Chenoweth (1762-1828), Ann Chenoweth (1765-?), Hannah Chenoweth (1767-?), and Abraham Chenoweth (1770-1845).
Mary was born about 1723 in Burlington County, New Jersey, about the tenth of some fourteen children and the fourth or fifth of some six or seven daughters John and Martha Unknown Prickett.
On 27 November 1742, she married Thomas Chenoweth, the son of an English immigrant to Frederick County, Virginia. Over the next three decades they were to have a dozen children and move to Back Creek Valley, Frederick County, Virginia (present-day Glengary, Berkeley County, West Virginia) and then on to Mason County, Kentucky, where she died after 1790.
The Chenoweths later moved to present-day Mason County, Kentucky. When Mary died c1789-90, Mason County had been formed from Bourbon County (while the latter was still in Virginia) and Kentucky had been approved for statehood by the Virginia government but not yet admitted to the Union as a separate state.
