Linda Chambliss, 77, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 while surrounded by her family at her residence in Purvis. A graveside service, conducted by Brother Jesse Ladner and Brother J. R. Hartfield will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Pine Ridge-Hartfield Cemetery in Purvis.
Linda was a member of Canaan Baptist Church of Purvis and loved being with her family, cooking, and working in her yard. She was especially known for her garage sales. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee L. Chambliss; parents, Leon and Earnestine Gamble; and a brother, Larry Gamble.
She is survived by six sons, Jimmy (Gay) Cooper, David (Sheila) Cooper, Arthur Joe (Patti) Cooper, Ricky Chambliss, Tony Chambliss, Kevin (Samantha) Chambliss, all of Purvis; a daughter, Cindy Nobles of Purvis; fifteen grandchildren, Toby (Lorraine) Cooper, Casey (Misty) Cooper, Wendy (Todd) Sandifer, Corey (Magen) Cooper, Jeannie Rea (Daniel) DiFatta, Kristen (Clay) Hannaford, Micha (Kelyn) Martin, Kerry (Dylan Molsbee) Cooper, Ashton Martin, Jacob (Hannah) Calhoun, Zach Martin, Ricky Lee Chambliss, Auston Nobles, Brook Chambliss, Kensley Medrano; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Linda will be held from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Purvis Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Acting as pallbearers at the graveside will be her grandsons, Toby Cooper, Casey Cooper, Corey Cooper, Micah Martin, Zach Martin, Ricky Lee Chambliss, and Auston Nobles.
