Christopher (Gary) Barth, age 66, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 2:50 pm in the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio.
Chris was born on December 15, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Ruthanna (Rizor) Barth, both of whom are deceased. He was raised in Upper Sandusky. He was first married to Ruthie Miller of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and they were divorced. He then married Shirley L. "Daneelee" Carroll on October 23, 2012 in Georgetown, Kentucky and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Joel (Dan) Ward of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Ashley Christine (Jordan) Coffey of Fishers, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Lyla Jo Ward, Sawyer Miller Ward, CJ Opper, and Sutton JoAnn Coffey.
Chris is also survived by three sisters, Kate Fields, Karen (Bruce) McElroy, and Pamela (Jerry) Lawrence, all of Upper Sandusky, and five brothers, Ronald Bame of Pierceton, Indiana, Roger (Jane) Bame of Findlay, Ohio, William (Penny) Barth, Kevin Barth, and Kip (Stacy) Barth, all of Upper Sandusky, sister-in-law Joyce Arnold of Canton, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews that he loved and cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Larry Arnold, and a sister Debra Barth.
Chris was a professional musician through and through and loved to entertain with his love for music. He had also previously worked for Bud Miller/Johnstone Supply before going out on his own with CB Enterprises Heating and Cooling in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
For hobbies he enjoyed fishing, and was known for his storytelling, impersonations, poetry, songwriting, sense of humor, and a wonderful laugh.
Chris cherished his Christian faith and was dedicated to bringing that faith to, and sharing it with others.
He was passionate about his music and cherished his friends. His love for his wife Daneelee, his children, grandchildren, along with his siblings, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews was first and foremost in his life. He will be missed greatly by all of those who were blessed to have known him.
Funeral services for Christopher G. Barth will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 At the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Reverend Eric Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
