Andrew Thomas "Uncle Rat" Garner, 83, of the Peytonsville Community, died Wednesday, June 24, at Williamson Medical Center.
Mr. Garner was a native of Williamson County where he was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Milton Garner.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Garner; three sons, Jerry Garner, both of the Peytonsville Community, Carl Andrew Garner of Little Texas Community; Jimmy Garner of Spring Hill; three daughters, Ann Carr of Pleasant View, Helen Reynolds of the Peytonsville Community; and Wanda Farmer of Nashville; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Sadler officiating. Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Garner, Dillinger Garner, Kev and Barry Carr, Adam Branham, Bob Garner Jr., Stevie and Paul Garner, Stoney Johnson, Stacey Garner and Ronald Bruce. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Garner, William Johnson, Jimmy Plemons, Arthur Garner, David Crawford, Garvin Ford, Harry Dean Waller, J.T. Langley, Jimmy Maxwell, O.L. Garner and Calvin Veach.
