Updated obituary:
Edwin Joe (Ed) Bouska, age 83, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Ennis, Texas. He was born in Ennis on March 18, 1937 to Charles Anton and Marie Anne (Kohn) Bouska. He grew up in Ennis, graduating from Ennis High in 1955. After graduation he moved to Dallas and went to work for Texas Instruments as a machinist retiring in 1980 after 25 years of service. During his early days at TI he joined the Army Reserve and was stationed in Ft. Hood and Ft. Knox in Kentucky.

On January 14, 1961 he married Margaret Tobola at St. James Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas where they made their home until 1980 when they and sons Greg and Clint moved to the farm in Ennis.

After having his fill of mending fences and working with his cattle he embarked on a new career with the USDA Soil Conservation Service in Corsicana and then in Waxahachie. He retired after 13 years and then served on the Board of Directors for several years until 2010 when his health became an issue.

This was a job he truly enjoyed as he liked the outdoors and working with area farmers and ranchers offering conservation plans, surveying the land for a good location for a pond, stock tank or dam, crop rotation, etc.

He also enjoyed grafting pecan trees for anyone who wanted it done. He liked being outdoors and taking care of a large garden, making Klobase and Sauerkraut with his friends. He had fond memories of his deer hunting days with his buddies, working on cars, trucks, farm equipment and visiting with his "Creechville Road" friends. Ed was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, SPJST and Sokol Lodge.
