Bernice was the daughter of William Brown Sr and Mattie Ruth Brown, she was their 4th child. She was educated in the Lee County School System. She was a member of Mitchell Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking.
She was a devoted companion to Curtis Solomon Sr for 43 years. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Clara Brown Wright and Pearly Brown Cody.
