Mary Margaret (Yeakel) Mobley passed into eternity Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Mary was born in Silt, Colorado. She went to college in Denver and then moved to Meeker in her mid- to late-20s. Mary had a full and wonderful life. She was known for her pretty smile and hard work ethic which she learned from being raised on a ranch in the New Castle area with her parents and six brothers. Some favorite memories as a kid were riding her horse to school in the rain and snow and taking turns churning the ice cream. Oh, how their lips would drip even before the ice cream was completed.

When she was 20 years old, she married the love of her life, Bruce Mobley. She helped him herd the sheep and build fence for many, many years. Many a time they stayed in a sheep camp with her children in tow for days on end. They were married for 63 years before he passed in 2013.

She retired from working at the Barone Jr. High School lunch room after 30 years of making fresh, soft dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls. Anyone that you talk to will remember her cinnamon rolls as they were their favorites!

Mary is missed dearly by her children Joline (Peter), Marcia (Curtis), Cindy (Brian), Crystal (James); and her seven grandchildren Joel, Danielle, Sidney, Jenni, Angeline, Serena and Benjamin; and four great-grandchildren Grace, Jacob, Elektra and Joel Jr., plus many other family members including Mary's brothers Jerry, Walter (Ardis), Bob, and George. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Mollie Yeakel, her brother Dick, her brother and sister-in-law John and Natalie, and the love of her life, her husband, Bruce.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the Meeker United Methodist Church followed by internment at Meeker Highland Cemetery with Pastor David Petty officiating.
