Cumberland- Carolee Jeanne (Kissner) Loar, 77, of Cumberland,MD passed away on Friday, May 22 at Allegany Health, Nursing and Rehab.
Born April 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Carlton W. Kissner and Anna R. (Parker) Kissner. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanley Loar.
Carolee graduated from Fort Hill High School, 1961. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for several medical doctors in Cumberland. She was an active hospice volunteer and an avid knitter. She was a beloved mom, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving her are children: Keri Carroll (Daniel) IN; Rebecca Privett (Ronald) TN; Kristen Harmon (Bill) SC; and Eric Loar (Angie) NY; grandchildren Michael Carroll; Connor, Will, Sean Privett; Rachel, Sarah, Ben Harmon; Kaleb, Ryan, Mason Loar; great grandson Quentin Loar; brother J. Robert Kissner (Ramona)TX; and sister and best friend Gloria Funkhouser MD.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 25 from 11:00 until 1:00pm, funeral service following at Scarpelli Funeral Home, Virginia Ave. Rev. Bill Harmon, son-in-law, officiating.
To honor Carolee’s memory donations may be made to the Schwab Cancer Center UPMC-WMHS; Nazarene Missions; and UMPC-WMHS Hospice Services.
