FAMILY SEARCH. When John Wilson Bullock was born on 11 February 1925, in Birmingham, Shelby, Alabama, his father, Jesse Burch Bullock Sr (1883-1931), was 41 and his mother, Mary Lablanche Wilson (1892), was 34. He married Rita Lea Harrison (1920-2012) on 15 February 1944, in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware. He lived in Fairfield, Jefferson, Alabama for about 10 years. He registered for military service in 1943. He died on 18 September 2018, in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama, at the age of 93, and was buried in Aspen Hill Cemetery, Jackson, Teton, Wyoming.

John served in WWII, after graduating from Birmingham's Fairfield High School at the age of 18. He participated in the Normandy landing and served in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic achievement.

Following the war, John served as a civilian contractor to the military. After retiring from the Pentagon John worked as a classical vocal coach.
