MT. VERNON – Mark Anthony Blevins, 29, passed away at 9:50 AM, August 2, 2007 in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mark was born on June 8, 1978 in Springfield to Bill and Rebekah (Swain) Blevins.
He was a 1996 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include: mother and stepfather, Rebekah and Roger Roberts, Mt. Vernon; his father and stepmother, Bill and Karen Blevins, Carthage; two brothers, Scott Blevins and wife, Shawna, and Tristan Roberts, all of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Sandra Espiritu and husband, Roman, Bloomington, Minnesota; maternal grandparents, Art and LaVerna Swain, Mt. Vernon; paternal grandparents, Jack and Norma Blevins, Mt. Vernon; paternal step-grandparents, Robert and Maxine Waggoner, Carthage; two step-sisters, Monica Lampe and Karla Roberts, both of the state of Arizona.
Funeral services were be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, August 7th,in the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, with Rev. Hubert Conway officiating. Burial followed in the Ruckman Cemetery, northeast of Mt. Vernon.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
