Edna Rea Campbell, 91, of Southern Pines, NC (formerly of Patrick Springs, VA), passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Monday, May 18, 2020, at her home.
She was born on November 21, 1928, in Henry County to the late Nellie Brown Rea and James Earl Rea.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Max Campbell; and three brothers: David Rea, Jimmy Rea, and Elwood Rea.
She was a member of Stella Christian Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and devout Christian.
She loved cooking, gardening, and reading.
Surviving is one daughter, Jackie Romaine of Southern Pines, NC; one son, John Taylor Campbell of Joelton, TN; two sisters: Doris Minter of Spencer, VA, Ann Whitlock of Ridgeway, VA; and one granddaughter, Sophie Romaine Mann.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Stella Christian Church cemetery with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating.
