Lyons - Dr. Charles E. Fisher, 68, pioneer eye, ear, nose and throat specialist here, died at 6:45 a. m. Sunday in Lyons hospital of a heart ailment. He had been in ill health for five years and entered the hospital Friday.

Dr. Fisher was born Jan. 4, 1878, at Clifton, West Va., and came to Lyons with his parents 61 years ago. He was married to Jessie Smith at McPherson in 1910.

Dr. Fisher was a graduate of Northwestern university medical school and also attended Kansas university. He was a member of the Lyons Blue lodge, the Lyons Eastern Star and the Consistory of Wichita. For a number of years he was secretary of the Rice County Medical society.

He is survived by the widow; two sons, Edwin, Lyons, and George, Alden; a daughter, Helen, Lyons; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Needham, Lyons, Mrs. Elsie Hartronft, Lyons, and Mrs. Nancy Stewart, New York; and five grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Crawford & Miller Mortuary, with Rev. L. O. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lyons cemetery.
