HUNT, Blanche M. 91, of Palm Harbor, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at Baytree Rehab & Nursing. Born in Standish, NY, Blanche moved here from Jaffrey, NH in 1955. Blanche was an active member of the VFW for over 50 years. She was the first president of District 21, president of 2473 several times, president of the M.O.C. and district president, member of the American Legion Auxiliary, aid to the department president, past president of 10093 and volunteered at Bay Pines Hospital. Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Cash, Palm Harbor, Theresa Farrell, Crystal River, Paula McLaughlin, Buffalo, NY; son, Joseph K. Simmons, Bushnell; 2 sisters,; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is Monday, Sept. 10, 6-8 pm at Dobies Funeral Home, 701 E Tarpon Ave., where the Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 10 am. Burial to follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
