Larry E. Hamilton, age 79, of Brooksville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on May 22, 2020. He was born in Bracken County on July 10, 1940, a son of the late Henry D. and Nina McClanahan Hamilton. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse pulling and visiting friends at the Berlin Store.

Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Shirley Jett Hamilton; three daughters, Kathy (Lynn) McKibben, of Flagler, Florida, Lee Ann (Todd) Cox, of Falmouth, Kentucky, and Ellen (Robert) Ishmae,l of Milford, Kentucky; a sister, Ella Cummins, of Germantown; eight grandchildren, Casey McKibben, M’lynn McKibben, Shelbi Ruf, Stephanie Denton, Blaine Askin, Blake Askin, Madison Ishmael and Morgan (Chris) Clark; and eight great-grandchildren, Kinley Ruf, Jerra Ruf, Larien Denton, Kale Denton, Kit Denton, Jackson Clark, Cory Clark and Mina Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Hamilton.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Powersville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056. Palmer Funeral Home and Crematory, in May’s Lick, is assisting the family.
