Eula Mae Chapman of Nacogdoches passed away Friday, May 22, 2020, in Nacogdoches at the age of 98. She was born January 4, 1922, in Nacogdoches County to parents I.S. Clifton and Mae Clifton.

Eula served as a military wife, traveling all over the world with her husband, Eugene, and family. She was a homemaker who took care of her family any way she could. She loved yard work, gardening, and quilting. Everybody loved her cooking. As a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, she would help cook and prepare meals for after funeral services.

Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene D. Chapman; daughter, Paula Hill; brothers, Ansel Clifton, Wade Clifton, and T.J. Clifton; and sister, Gladys Barnhart.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Chapman and wife Donna; grandsons, Matt Parkman and wife Jesse, Brad Hill and wife Colleen, and Doug Hill and wife Wendy; great-grandchildren, Billy Norton, Pepper Hill, Joshua Hill, and Caroline Hill; brother, Benard Clifton and wife Joan; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Linda Case for the time, consideration, and care given to Mrs. Chapman over the last few years.

A private graveside service will be held at Helpenstell Cemetery.
