Russell DAYNE Gray, 78 of Grafton, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born August 15, 1941 in Grafton the son of the late Harry and Thelma Kelso Gray.

Dayne is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Velma Boyles Gray, they were married February 11, 1966.

He was a US Navy Veteran, he retired from Rex-Hide with over twenty seven years of services. Dayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, he loved to work in his garage tinkering with his woodworking projects. His greatest joy was being with his family.

Dayne is survived by three children, Cheryl Weaver and husband Bobby, Grafton, Russell Gray, II of Grafton, Tina Gray, of Huntington, two special grandchildren, Skylar Dayne Rucker and girl friend, Siera Gabbert, Ben Rucker and wife Devin both of Grafton, two sisters, Lenora Jean Tacy and Linda Markley both of Grafton one brother, Michael Gray and companion Gloria, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, three brothers, Charles “Roger” Gray and Richard Alvin Gray, James “Spike” Gray one sister Deborah Gray.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 2:00PM to 8:00PM, and on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour, with Pastor Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodsdale Memorial Park with proper distancing and face mask required.
