Paul Emerson Jordan, son of the late Ronald and Edna Agnes (Moore) Jordan was born April 3, 1936 in Chilton, Mo., and departed this life on May 20, 2020 in Van Buren, Mo. He attained the age of 84 years, 1 month and 17 days.
He was united in marriage to Bessie F. Street on April 11, 2015. She along with 2 spoiled puppers are going to miss him so much.
He is also survived by 3 children Mindy Bass, Becky Thornton and Darren Jordan all from Oregon, and 4 more who called him Daddy O, Sandi, Bonita, Sheila and Curt. one brother Dan Jordan and one sister Linell Greiger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Howard, Harold and Ronald Jr. and one sister Mary Waggoner.
Paul was a truly unique man. He loved to cook and he loved feeding people. He had mad baking skills and could can anything from sauerkraut to fish.
Paul was also well known for his moonshine and wine making skills and he excelled at both, Apple Pie Shine and Dandelion wine were local favorites.
He’s been described as a mountain man of sorts, because he is one man that lived off the land and fared well. His knowledge of roots and anything green was amazing and he liked sharing that with others.
A wise man, in describing Paul, he would say you could drop him off in the woods with a stick of gum and a safety pin and in a weeks’ time, he would have a cabin built.
