She was the daughter of the late George and Lessie Fox. She was preceded by five brothers; five sisters; her husband, Rudolph "Mankind" Simmons, and one daughter, Von Sheral Simmons. She was survived by two sons, Jimmy Lee Fox (Jodie) and Dennis Delano Simmons (Provita); three daughters, Linda Fox Percell, Lessie Fox Lee Cain (Richard), and Deirdre Foxx Hopkins (Myron); 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five brothers-in-law; and seven sisters-in-law.
