Obituary for Michael Patrick Cochran
Michael Patrick Cochran was born on Feb. 14, 1988 in Dearborn, Michigan and died on April 8, 2020 at his home with his surviving parents Terry L. Cochran and Suann DeSaele Cochran of Canton, Michigan following a short, sudden illness. Mike attended Plymouth- Canton High School and graduated from the Ann Arbor Academy in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a high school diploma. After high school, he attended Washtenaw Community College studying English. His passion was writing lyrics, short stories and poetry that he shared with his numerous friends and family. Although Mike had many medical challenges throughout his life, he chose to accept his limitations with humor, wit and a zest for life. A friend to all whom he would greet with a warm smile and joke. He enjoyed spending evenings on our family deck and debating the issues of the day. Mike also joined the Masonic Plymouth Rock Lodge #47 with his close friend John. At Western Golf and Country Club in Redford, Michigan, Mike along with his friends and family shared many memories especially the yearly Stag Night to begin each golf season.
Mike is survived by his sister Elizabethann Cochran (Miller), brother-in-law Jason Miller and nephew Colten Miller of Livonia, MI and Aunts and Uncles Kenneth and Donna DeSaele, Edward and Sandy Cochran, Mary Cochran, and Randall and Carol Cochran along with first cousins Robert Baker, Alicia Nagasawa, Eric DeSaele, Jessica DeSaele, and Mitchell Cochran. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leon and Barbara DeSaele, of Bruce Township, Michigan and Ralph and Ann Ruth Cochran of Gibraltar, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to CS Mott Children’s Hospital, 1540 E. Hospital Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48109.
Once the coronavirus has been vanquished, a memorial service will be held to celebrate Mike’s life and the joy that he brought to our lives.
