SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. - Gail Ann Welch, of Surfside Beach, passed away April 24, 2018.
She was born Sept. 20, 1960, in St. Mary's, Pa., to A. John (Helen) Stephens and the late Dorothy Stephens. On May 26, 1984, she married Ted Welch, who predeceased her on March 24, 2014.
She was a 1978 graduate of Olean High School and received an associate's degree from Gannon University.
She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Olean, N.Y. and at Grand Strand Hospital.
Other than her father, she is survived by siblings Karen (Steven) Hasher, Larry Stephens, Tom (Pam) Stephens; nieces, Taylor Stephens, Lauren Stephens, Kathryn Stephens; and a nephew, Austin Stephens. She was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be no viewing. Services were private with arrangements made at Grand Strand Funeral Home.
