Edward M. Orgaard, 68, who was a director for the Oliver- Mercer Electric Coop here, died Thursday, Oct. 21 at his home southeast of Center.

Funeral services were held at 1 PM (MDT) Tuesday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Center, with Rev. Milbert Kurtz officiating. Burial was held at Mandan Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Matt Geiger, George Schmidt, Richard Uhler, William Wolf, Herbert Harold Oster.

Mr. Orgaard was born Oct 9, 1903, in Libertyville, Ill. He moved to Mandan with his family in 1905 and to Oliver County in 1907, where he has lived since. He attended Oliver County schools and Ed married Thelma Berg at Mandan Oct 9, 1930.

He was a former director of the Farmers Union Oil Company of Mandan, Oliver-Mercer Electric Coop of Hazen, Oliver County Farmers Union, District 17 school board and was past director of the Farmers Union Grain Association, Mandan. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Center, and the Democratic-NPL Party of Oliver County.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Annie Orgaard, Underwood; three sons, Martin, Center; Howard, Jamestown, and Lee in the U.S. Navy; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Stoering, Riverdale, and three brothers.
