She was the daughter of Rudolph and Emma (nee Goldwhitzle) Mark. Alma worked for Dr. Benjamin Deci then went to Harrison Radiator, briefly at Fashion Fabric and retired from Fisher Price, Medina where she worked in production. Alma enjoyed sewing, making bridal veils, baking and cooking. She was predeceased by her first husband Carl Nichols.

Alma is survived by her beloved husband Wallace E. Peterson of Lockport; sister of Esther Euler of Blasdell, Vera Jackson of Eggertsville, Sophie Jaeger of Florida, John Marks of Kentucky and the late Arthur Marks who was killed in WW II; dear aunt of Joseph Rizzo and also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home Lockport where funeral services were held. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery
