Mrs. Phebe Maria, widow of the late Luna Bishop, died Oct. 22 at the home of her daughter in Williamstown, Mass., at the age of 85 years and 10 mos. Mrs. Bishop was a native of Readsboro but lived for many years in Whitingham, going to North Adams in 1885 with her husband to live with their daughters. Mr. Bishop's death took place a year ago last June. Mrs. Bishop was a woman of sterling character and her long life was spent in the performance of good works. Mrs. Bishop is survived by two daughters and a son, Miss Eleanor L. Bishop of Williamstown, Mrs. S. Clark of North Adams and M.B. Bishop of Whitingham. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Lydia S. Hicks of Rowe. The body was brought to Whitingham for burial.

All but Eleanor L. were removed to this cemetery from
the Lime Hollow cemetery in 1922.
This monument erected in 1930 by William M Bishop
their grandson and nephew, of North Adams.
