Obituary
Patricia (Penny) Louise Seaman, age 76, died at home from complications of Parkinson’s Disease, surrounded by her loving family. She had suffered from the disease for over 25 years and is at last free.

Penny was born on January 7th, 1943 in Washington, DC to Vincent Connolly and Leontine Gallahorn. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1961 and has had a lifelong friendship with 10 classmates who went from elementary through high school together.

She was married in 1964 to Richard Seaman and is survived by her husband and three children, Suzanne Nash, Arthur and Scott Seaman; 7 grandchildren, Natasha, Allan, and Claire Nash, Kiefer Zapferstellen (his sons Ollivander and Malcolm) and Riley Seaman, Cheyenne and Patrick Seaman; her sister-in-law Ellie Connolly and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased this year by her brother Michael Connolly.

Penny was recruited out of high school by the CIA and worked in library classification and research, then later retired from the USDA (Beltsville) Research Center. She was very active in the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Beltsville and the Parkinson’s Support and Exercise Program in Kensington, MD.

She loved to travel and took multiple trips with family and friends across the United States and internationally. Like her mother, she had a lovely singing voice until Parkinson’s took it from her.

There will be a gathering to celebrate her life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from noon - 3 pm at The Villa in Calverton (Beltsville), MD. Light lunch will be served. Gifts in memory to her can be made to your local library or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
