John J. Christina, beloved husband for 21 years of Sandra (Schilke) Chiaradio Christina, of Potter Hill Road, Westerly, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the age of 82.
Born in Westerly he was the son of the late Angelo J. and Rose Christina.
John was a Planner for Electric Boat in Groton and Quonset for 40 years until his retirement. He loved to golf and was a member of Winnapaug Country Club, the Calabrese Society and the BPOE #678, as well as a former member of the Pawcatuck Italo-American Club.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son David J. Christina of New London, CT; daughter Linda Christina of Aspen, CO; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, on Monday, from 10 a.m. -11 a.m., immediately followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11a.m. Burial is private. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
