Mrs. Emily Mildred Guy Smith, 94, of Ellaville, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Magnolia Manor in Americus, GA. A graveside funeral service was held in Ellaville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born in Ellaville, GA, on February 9, 1926, to John Tinsley Guy and Pearl Cromer Guy. She had been employed with Spilene as a seamstress. Mrs. Smith was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sandra Smith of Ellaville, GA; by a daughter, Emily Dianne Varnum of Plains, GA; three grandchildren, Guy and Jessica Smith, Vicki and Ken Franks, and Greg and Jessica Smith, all of Ellaville, GA; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
