Born in Amsterdam on March 21, 1928, Betty was the daughter of the late William and Mildred Aldrich Frenz.
She was a longtime resident of Amsterdam.
Betty received her education in Amsterdam schools and was a graduate of the Amsterdam High Class of 1946. She went on to graduate from Rider University in Trenton, New Jersey.
Betty's work history included the general Electric Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Woody Incorporated in Amsterdam and the outpatient Mental Health clinic in St. Mary's Hospital retiring in 1991.
Betty married Bernard "Skip" Stanley on June 26, 1954. Skip passed away on November 8, 2011.
Survivors include two sons, David Stanley (Rex Dancey) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Kevin Stanley (Michele) of Clifton Park; a daughter Gail Mosconi (Rob) of Tribes Hill; seven grandchildren, Kasey Aiken (Russ), Samantha Gallup (Adsam), Olivia Barnett (Brian), Natalie Nellis (Luke), Michael Stanley, Brian Stanley and Rachel Stanley; eight great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Carol Frenz of Charlton; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was predeceased by her sister, Gail Baker and brother, William Frenz, Jr.
Betty loved to travel, dine out, read and be in the company of her family. Among her many vacation destinations were Las Vegas, Virginia Beach, Montreal, New York City, Atlantic city and Boston. She even traveled to Jamaica at age 85.
