Frances “Sue” Overton Blanton went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2017.
Sue was born in Los Angeles California Oct 6 1931, but was raised in Willis, Oklahoma and then moved to Denison as a child. She married Allen Blanton in 1953. She is a member of East Baptist Church in Denison. Sue worked briefly after graduation as a hairdresser, but joined Allen in Norfolk, VA where he was stationed in the Navy. She then was a fulltime homemaker and mother.
Sue is survived by one sister, Wanda Neil Overton, 88 in San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are her children; Alana Raner of Fort Worth, Sharon Blanton of Denison, Michael Blanton of Denison, Bobby Blanton of Azle, and Rebecca Blanton of Denison. Oldest son Allen Blanton Jr. died in 1957 at 21 months of age.
She is survived by nine grandchildren; Sandy Davis, Rowlett, TX, Clinton Linder, Azle, TX, Matthew Linder, Denison, TX , Joshua Linder, Denison,TX, Michael Allen Blanton, Midland, TX, Kathryn Blanton, Farmers Branch, TX, Jamie Aragon, Maybrook, NY, Matthew Welch, Fort Worth, TX, Hunter Blanton, Fort Worth, TX. And eleven grand great Children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allen Blanton, parents Willis Neal Overton, Francis Ethel Whatley, son; Allen Mathis Blanton, Jr.
Service will be held at the Chapel of Fairview Cemetery, Friday, 2pm
