He grew up on Pine Swamp Rd in Sidney Center and served two tours in the U.S. Army in the 50's. He was a craftsman and made his living as a cabinet maker and builder. He was a life long member of the Unadilla Rod & Gun Club, and served his community as the Master of Ceremony for the Annual Halloween Program in Unadilla for 45 years. He could often be seen around town with a smile on his face, a joke to tell, and because of his love for gardening a tomato to share. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was born on March 27, 1936, son of the late Florence & Victor Beers. A funeral service and arrangements were held at C.H. Landers Funeral Home on Monday December 28, 2015.
