Born on August 3, 1948 at Egeria, he was the son of the late Lewis Calloway Meadows (1880-1965) and Lessie McBride-Meadows (1907-1996). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lonnie E. Meadows (1903–1933), Monnie Ellen Meadows-Hodson (1909–1998), Mabel Lee Meadows-Parrott (1914–1998), Thelma Meadows-Fink (1925–1952), Delphia M Meadows-Fink (1928–2010), and (Bradie Callaway Meadows (1941–1961).
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 years, Norma Neely-Meadows; four children, Cathy Meadows-Mills & husband Pete Mills of Flat Top, WV, Tammy Meadows-Carr & husband Michael Carr of Shady Spring, WV, Albert Meadows & wife Rachel Meadows of Shady Spring, WV, and Rachel Meadows-Massard & husband Robert Massard of Jacksonville, FL; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four sisters, Doris J. Meadows-Karnes (B. 1930) of Spanishburg, WV, Faye Meadows-Farley of Cool Ridge, WV, Rosie Meadows of Alexandria, VA, and Ann Meadows-Shumate of Rhodell, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Harry Allen and Rev. Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Brammer Cemetery on Egeria Road, Flat Top, WV.
