Richard H. "Rick" Sigler, age 74, of Florence, Kentucky, previously of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away at his home on April 28, 2020. He was born on September 28, 1945. Rick was a lieutenant detective for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 32 years, a safety trainer for Operation Lifesaver, which promotes railroad safety, and a member of Derita Masonic Lodge, of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a sharp shooter with a pistol, an avid bowler and the king of dirty jokes.

He is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Jane Ann Franxman Sigler, of Florence; a daughter, April Sigler Vater, of Greendale, Indiana; a son, Brian Sigler, of New Albany, Indiana; a brother, John Earl Sigler, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; three grandsons, Christopher Munden, of Atlanta, Georgia, Matt Munden, of Lynnville, Tennessee, and R.J. Pierce, of Temple, Georgia; and several loving nephews, nieces and step-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by: his parents, John Earl Sigler, Sr., and Florence Duc Sigler, of Charleston, South Carolina; a brother, Tommy Sigler, of Hugee, South Carolina; and a daughter, Deborah Sigler Pierce, of Temple, Georgia.

Richard did not wish to have a service or visitation. Condolences may be sent to Jane Sigler, 2336 Wicket Court, Florence, Kentucky 41042.
