Mrs. Corine Conrad Thompson, 81, passed away Monday, May 16, 2005. She was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Winston-Salem and was a member of Hanes Memorial C.M.E. Church. "Miss Corine" was a graduate of Atkins High School class of 1941. For more than 40 years, she was manager of Wilson's Grocery Store. Her generous heart and kind ways touched the lives of her family and many friends. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Andrew R. Thompson, of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Linda T. (James) Totten of Walkertown and Betty T. (David) Morton of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Marva Thompson of Atlanta, Ga., and Malik Razzak of Walkertown; a sister, Earline (Richard) Jasper, of Baltimore, Md., two great-grandchildren; four nieces; four nephews; devoted friend Katherine Hunter; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, May 20, at Hanes Memorial C.M.E. Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 11:30 a.m. to noon Friday, May 20, at the church. (Russell)
